Life isn’t always easy. Sometimes, even the strongest people amongst us need to work through some of life’s more challenging problems. Everyone has battles to fight and hurdles to overcome at some point. Whether you struggle with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, or any other issue, you should know that there is hope for a better tomorrow.

You might be initially hesitant to seek out help and support for personal matters, but when you do, you will feel confident that you are taking a courageous first step towards getting to a better place and being a better you.

My practice specializes in treating individuals, couples and families, and through years of experience, I’m confident that no problem is too great to overcome. Through therapy, there is always a way to address the issues you face and learn coping strategies to help you both right now and in the future

My Story

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California, USA, located in the greater Los Angeles area.
I obtained my Master's degree in Psychology and School Counseling from Phillips Graduate University in Chatsworth, CA.
Previously, I have earned two Bachelor's degrees, one in Psychology, with a focus on Cross Cultural Psychology; and a previous one in Graphic Design from Buenos Aires, Argentina.

I enjoy the cultural richness of this city and celebrate diversity. As an immigrant myself, I have been exposed to different languages and cultures, and have navigated the acculturation process. I embrace my roots and values, as much as I love learning from others and respecting different points of view.

I have a heart for nature and the arts, not necessarily together.

Cecilia's Approach

I believe that each individual is able to grow and change, no matter what life has thrown their way. In my practice I offer a genuine, caring, and safe space to hold your story. From a free of judgment point of view, I might ask questions to make sure I understand and respect your experience and perspective. My ultimate goal is to help you be the best version of yourself, overcoming challenges, and breaking old patterns, through self-awareness, and enlightenment.

When working with systems I value each member's role and point of view, making sure they all feel understood and represented from a perspective free of bias. I do not have a preconceived notion of how families should be or function and I am willing to work with you to achieve your common goal, fostering communication and mutual respect.

My goal is to help you reach your personal goals through various psychotherapy techniques. It is not a one-size-fits-all kind of treatment. Psychotherapy is fundamentally about discovering a deeper sense of personal meaning, greater self-understanding, and self-acceptance.  Growth is not always lineal or consistent. There might be times when you might want to stay in the cocoon, as you endure the pain, and need someone to hold the space for you, and other times when you might have more clarity and be readier to grow and spread your wings. Psychotherapy can help us move through life with a greater degree of freedom and flexibility, feeling more connected to ourselves and others along the way.

I create a safe space to listen carefully and empathically, to help you understand how you have developed into who you are, and what gets in the way of finding your goals in the here and now. There are many ways to do this work. I believe the most important place to start in any modality is by really listening, and establishing a solid therapeutic alliance.

Do you have any questions?

Send them my way!
